East Pictures was created in 2009 as a start-up project. We aim at production of commercial films with the use of the newest technologies that will attract audiences to the cinemas. First assumptions positioned East Pictures as a film fund supposed to invest in commercial film projects and drawing profits from them. The founders of East Pictures are experienced in the film business in the field of directing, promotion and financing. The company works with renowned filmmakers and producers, among them the Oscar® nominated Anna Wydra or director Bartosz Dombrowski, and guarantees the participation of the best actors, as Robert Więckiewicz.

The current field of activity is much wider than previously assumed. The company intensified activity in the following fields:

•  financing and production of fiction films: short and feature films; 3D and 5D films.
•  financing and production of documentary films:
  
•  financing and production of music and musicals.
  
•  cooperation on the creation of an interactive internet TV with the specially created East Pictures Studio company. East Pictures is its shareholder.
  

The Board and the Supervisory Board still act as the Investment Manager that identifies and uses opportunities that emerge in the process of creating film projects' value through selection and financing commercial projects.

The development strategy of the Emmissioner is based on a diverse portfolio of film and music productions of relatively low budgets both in the field of genre and production technology. The basic assumption of the Emmissioner is to produce in Poland at the highest world quality level in order to sell on foreign markets.

The market niche of films designed for 5D theatres is an important element of the company's strategy. 5D screens are a novelty both in Poland and abroad. The lack of suitable content forces those theatres to screen the same productions for as long as 2-3 years. Compared to traditional cinema, with the average theatre-life of several weeks, this offers the opportunity to generate stable, long-term income.

East Pictures cooperated with Magic Hour Film Studio from Warsaw at the pre-production of the 3D movie "Chernobyl 2011".

East Pictures bases its value on a team created in the last 2 years (scriptwriters, directors, executive producers, production managers etc.), direct cooperation with East Pictures Studio created to produce professional film projects (2D, 3D, 5D) and music projects as well as on cooperation with independent studios and film, music and game producers: Fly Film, Otter Films, Alvernia Studios, City Interactive, Nicolas Games.
